FIL's pilot aerial ropeway mobility project Skyview by Empyrean at Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir is one of the finest amalgamation of world-class collaborations, sustainability, hospitality, and technological possibilities.
Featuring India’s highest ropeway (in terms of ground clearance) and adhering to CEN safety standards, it has successfully established itself as a benchmark for sustainable mobility and tourism infrastructure. Since its inception in 2019, Skyview by Empyrean has successfully transformed travel experiences from Sanget Valley to Patnitop, demonstrating the viability of ropeway mobility as a primary solution for enhancing connectivity around sought-after destinations.
Skyview By Empyrean is certified as India’s first Sustainable Tourism Destination by The Responsible Tourism Society of India [RTSOI], the national body of Responsible Tourism that promotes sustainable responsible tourism practices within the tourism industry. It was also conferred as “Champion” -a status which is accorded for a score of 90 plus for following sustainable eco-friendly tourism practices.
Additionally, two more aerial ropeway mobility projects have also been awarded to FIL Industries. The much-anticipated Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway project was awarded in 2019, which aims to provide a modern and sustainable connectivity via aerial ropeway. This ropeway will be amongst the 5 longest ropeways in the world, and will have retail and entertainment facilities as part of the auxiliary development.
FIL successfully bagged the Yamunotri aerial ropeway project in 2023. The ropeway measuring 3.8 km will be connecting Yamunotri with Kharsali in Uttarakhand.
